  • Parables: Wk.3

This week one of our interns Chas Martin continues our series on “Parables.” Chas teaches on the parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard in Matthew 20:1-16 and how they relate to us. We can become comparison-driven and very judgmental towards the people around us. When we take a step back and realize who our Master is, we realize He gives us all we could every need.

  • Parables: Wk.2

This week Hannah Thom continues our series on “Parables.” Hannah looks at the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 and helps us see that we have a lot in common with both the younger AND the older son. Regardless of which we identify with more, God the Father is running after us with open arms, always willing to welcome us home.

  • Parables: Wk.1

This week Matt Densky opens up our new series on “Parables.” Matt explains that parables force us to wrestle with what Jesus is saying and how Jesus knows we don’t really understand them. He talks about the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13:1-23 - explaining that the Gospel lands differently on different hearts. We have to wrestle with this and figure out what the truth is from these parables in our own lives. Matt leaves us with a challenge from this parable, and we hope you can wrestle on that challenge, too!

  • My Story: Wk.5

This week Ian Thompson will be sharing with us in our “My Story” series as he talks about “Discomfort.” A lot of uncomfortable events for Ian like our EPIC retreat, mission trips, and leading small groups pushed Ian closer to God by using his discomfort. We will look at Matthew 8:23-27 where the disciples were scared in the boat during the storm and Jesus asked if they were afraid. Ian talks about how that’s all of us. We can seek and embrace discomfort because we have the hope of Jesus.

  • My Story: Wk.4

This week JJ Bunney will be sharing with us in our “My Story” series as he talks about “Others.” JJ shares about his journey growing in his faith by fighting the temptation of sin with the help of friends around him. He shares how God uses others around us through trials so we don’t have to walk alone in it. We will look at Galatians 6:1-3 and what it means to carry each others’ burdens. Faith is not meant to be done alone. Matt wraps up the message talking about how it matters who you let in to your life - you’re a product of the people you’re around.

We will look at Proverbs 3:5-6 and what it looks like to trust God as he leads us on a straight path. Matt Densky finishes out this message with a look at John 11:17-37 where Jesus interacts with Martha and Mary after their brother Lazarus dies. • United Night of Worship:

This week we’re going to hear from Matt Densky as he talks at our United Night of Worship about knowing God and being known by God. We’ll look at Matthew 21:12-16, when Jesus goes to the temple, and we see a side of Jesus we don’t normally see. Matt talks about how our faith isn’t determined by earning it, but by grace and how everyone has access to the Father. Our God isn’t a God of earning, but receiving. We can come to Jesus and let Him clean up our hearts.

We hope you’re encouraged and enjoy this message!
