Acts 2:1-13 tells the story of the Holy Spirit’s dramatic arrival at Pentecost, marking the birth of the Church.  A rushing wind and tongues of fire filled the room, and they began to speak in languages they didn’t know, declaring God’s wonders to Jews from across the world in their native tongues. This supernatural event showed that God’s Spirit was now with His people, empowering them for mission and unity across nations.

This week we welcome Pastor Paul Lam to the pulpit.  Paul will serve at Fallingbrook throughout the Summer as our Interim Pastor.  Paul is an alumni of Fallingbrook, of sorts.  He came to speak to us last year when we started our journey to find a new perminant pastor for our church.  This week paul asks the question “Why are we still here?”; why do we come to church on Sunday?
