That embroidered house prompted many others to hire Theresa to stitch their house as a memory piece. Out of that has grown an embroidery/design business called The Monsters Lounge. In addition to the houses, she creates triptych designs that add a new dimension to common topics, builds mixed-media pieces, and creates soft sculptures and pillows. Theresa’s YouTube channel has a number of instructional videos that demonstrate various stitches and she has written two books. “Hand-Stitched House” provides instructions that will help you embroider your own house. “Hand-Stitched Oasis” shows you how to embroider landscape and other nature scenes. Theresa is an up and coming embroidery designer who adds a new dimension to needle arts.–Gary
