Israel Welch-Cheat Mountain

About a month ago, I uploaded a first recording. Since then, I literally took a week off work to work on my fiddling. My aim was to reach a basic level of comfort and familiarity with the instrument. I'm satisfied with my progress so far.

Me playing an Acadian tune from Prince Edward Island after about three months of consistent/inconsistent bouts of practise (lets say that every few weeks or so, I get an inkling to keep on going).

A Bb tune composed for a friend of mine

Ultra-grass, played by Psychograss, with Tony Trischka, Mike Marshall, David Grier, Todd Phillips.

A new original that I wrote for Emy's rendition of Darrell Scott's "Crooked Road". It's called "The Crooked Road To Buffalo", and is built on Buffalo Gals. A nod to the great recording Bill Monroe's Uncle Pen, with all the stately marches & stuff. Ethan Setiawan, Emy Phelps, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes & Nathan Sabat played on it as well.
