In this first episode of 2025 we have the honor of having the great violinist Johan Dalene on the show. Only 24 years old but already a rockstar of the classical world, Johan has insights and good advice on how to approach competitions and life as a violinist. Peter is in Oslo, Frederik in Copenhagen, but modern day technology makes it possible anyhow. (Just don't tell anyone about the not so awesome sound quality)

Whether they are 500 years old or if they were made last year, violins will always have an air of mystery around them. They become our close companions and sometimes even development personalities of their own. Some of us even give them names and they become part of our emotional life. But how do you choose an instrument? And how do you part from one when it has been part of you forever?

They are easy to hate and hard to love. Most of us go through several of them during our schooling and careers and most of us struggle with them. Of course we talk about auditions. During this episode we give our best advice on how to deal with them but we also just give place to a talk about a touchy subject!
