Romans 11:11-24- In Romans 1:1, Paul writes: “Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God….” The gospel Paul had been called of God to proclaim to the Gentiles is God’s Gospel. The gospel is great, if for no other reason, simply because it is God’s Gospel.

Romans 11:1-11- Dr. R.C. Sproul points out, in his commentary on the book of Romans, that: “Chapter 11 is Paul’s most complete teaching on the future of the nation of Israel.” These days many eyes are on what is taking place in the Middle East. Today’s sermon text has much relevance for the present and future Israel.

Romans 10:16-21- Previously, in Romans 10:13, Paul quotes the prophet, Joel, and this prophecy promises salvation for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. What a wonderful promise in God’s Word. Paul begins to work backward from calling on the Lord to the steps which come before it: belief—preaching of the gospel—being sent to preach the gospel (v. 14, 15).

Romans 13:1-3- In just a few short weeks, millions of Americans will head to the polls to cast their votes for President of the United States. It is a remarkable privilege to vote; it is a remarkable responsibility to vote. Interestingly, the Bible gives significant clarity regarding our relationship to the government.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29- The Lord Jesus gave His church two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Please spend a few moments preparing your heart and mind to partake in this sacred act of worship, thanksgiving, remembering, and anticipating.

Romans 10:14-15- In several aspects, Romans 10:14-15 provides a stirring plea for missions. It is estimated that there are 6.8 billion people in the world. Furthermore, it is estimated that 1.9 billion in the world live in a region where there is little or no access to the Gospel. Missions is to be in the DNA of the local church, as an overflow of worship and a high view of God.

The great necessity in the contemporary church is the careful, faithful exposition of the Holy Scripture. Our churches today are in desperate need of men in the pulpits who passionately, relentlessly pursue the meaning of biblical texts with a tireless focus on God.
