1 in 13.3 Fife Homeowners Cut Their Asking Price

Estate agents Sophie Gibbens and Perrie McIntosh are on hand to discuss that when you have had your property on the market for a while, many sellers eventually face the same difficult decision: whether their asking price needs adjusting to reignite buyer interest.

The reason being, over the past few years the number of homes available across the KY1 to KY12 and KY14 to KY16 postcodes has increased significantly.

In February 2021 there were around 1,325 properties for sale. By February 2026 that figure had climbed to 1,571.

With so many homes competing for Fife buyers’ attention, pricing strategy has become one of the most important factors in achieving a successful sale.
