Tony shares stories about his coach and explains how they met. Tom, Tony and Rich also catch up after a week off and discuss the combat sports action we didn't get to chat about last week and all the upcoming bouts in MMA and boxing.

Great episode here where we even touch on a little politics and theology. With boxing having a slow weekend and few big upcoming fights, we spend most of the broadcast off topic and discussing Paythefighters.com, an effort to get fighters paid more and help struggling fighters. The auction of the Mike Tyson glove mentioned in this podcast will result in three fighters helped, and Rich's $300 signed glove ultimately sold for $2500. John Scully and Rich plan to collaborate more in the future to duplicate this phenomenon.

This week we have special guest and World Champion boxer Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (42-0, 28 KOs) joining the show. Campaigning at Super Middleweight for much of his career, Gilberto is now settling it at light heavyweight. He is a spectacular fighter and an even better person, as we find out while chatting with him (starts about 25 minutes into the show). Tom, Tony and Rich also manage to squeeze in some current events from the combat sports world and recap last week's fights. We also look forward to a huge UFC 269 card where Rich smells upset in the main event based on Charles Oliveira's nearly 4 year unbeaten streak.

This week Tony, Rich and Tom cover a lot of ground. We discuss everything from a death from an amateur boxing fight night put on by a fraternity at UNLV to this new experiment called Triad Combat put on by Triller. Although there were some highlights of their first event, there was a lot to be critical of as well, and some other outfits are fighting mad and filing lawsuits over what they're calling stolen intellectual property (namely, the triangle ring). We also look forward to this weekend's fights and discuss some controversial fights from last weekend.
