Most of our modern holidays, like Christmas and Easter, are a combination of Pagan and Christian traditions. Thanksgiving, on the other hand, doesn’t have as much of a Christian influence. While Thanksgiving is not tied to any one specific religion, it’s traditions are quite similar to a number of ancient Pagan harvest celebrations. For example, in ancient Rome they celebrated the holiday of Cerelia, which honored the harvest goddess of grain called Ceres. There are around a 100 different harvest Gods and Goddesses from Greek & Roman culture so it’s clear that celebrating the harvest season was a key feature of their spiritual beliefs.

Every election season, it seems that Christians have one of the loudest voices. At least that’s the case in most democratic countries.

   However, did you know that the Bible actually teaches that Christians should not be involved in politics? You might be surprised, but that’s something most Christians don’t believe today. Although many Christians get involved in politics, that doesn’t make it right.  I know it can be difficult to believe. That’s why in this post, I have gathered 12 of the most important reasons Christians shouldn’t be part of any politics.

One of the ten commandments is “Thou shalt not murder”. Suicide is murder of yourself.  No one is to stop their own life. God decides when we are going to be born, he is the giver of life and he numbers our days. God want us to live and have joy in him. However, there are times when a person becomes incredibly overwhelmed by despair. We live in a world that is full of sin and death which causes great pain.
