Figure It Out

I’ve been in the social spotlight for as far back as I remember, starting from Facebook days. It has helped me grow tremendously professionally and has opened many doors for me for the past 15 years. However, having a large following not only comes with its downfalls; but also, Instagram has turned for the worst. I don’t want to be a part of the world that is constantly draining and exhausting my life. I am grateful for all the support throughout the years but it’s time I live my life authentically, off of social media.

Dr. Arsen Osipov, M.D., is an assistant professor, and physician-scientist at Cedars-Sinai, an adjunct assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University and health sciences assistant clinical professor at UCLA. He oversees the pancreas cancer multidisciplinary clinic and precision medicine program at Cedars-Sinai and is a dedicated researcher and clinician trying to find new treatments for patients for pancreatic cancer. Only 36 years old, Arsen has already made his mark in history and has changed the future of medicine and people. Getting to know the heros beyond social media was my goal with this story.

Tamanna Roashan started as a makeup artist, turned into a beauty instructor traveling the world selling out banquet halls and was one of the first ever artists to teach online classes. Always ahead of the game, Tamanna was also one of the first collaborations in beauty history on social media with Anastasia Beverly Hills. She then went on to collaborate with famous hair and clothing brands; constantly reinventing herself. As an Afghan/Indian woman, she has broken rules and stayed true to her authentic self, which has led her to all her success.

A beauty junkie turned aesthetic nurse, Anush turned her passion into a career and skyrocketed very quickly. A mother of 2 with a busy career, she talks about how she grew so rapidly whilst keeping the balance of self-care. Honesty is her best policy and staying true to herself has been the key to her success.

Adrine Avetyan is the co-owner of Glendale Counseling and one of the smartest most therapeutic women I’ve met. We talk about anxiety, society, social media and the connectedness of it all. What steps we can make to find inner peace.

After almost a year, I’m back at it full force. Sharing where I’ve been and all the changes I’ve been making this past year that have really changed my life in such a positive way. Coming from Armenia as Immigrants at 3 years old to having a successful cosmetics company along with a husband and 3 kids - I want to take you on that journey of how it was made possible for me. My life has taken me on several paths but I needed to Figure Out what was next for me each time. The key is to be patient and trust yourself and the process. Things will work out exactly the way they’re supposed to.
