You're a Christian, you aren't supposed to be like the rest of the world. You aren't supposed to struggle with money, divorce, drugs and alcohol, pornography and everything else the world throws at us. You are supposed to be different.
As Christians, it is our responsibility to be ready for God to put to work. You don't have to be a preacher, but you do have to be prepared to do the job. Maybe you're a Stylist, Maybe you're a doctor, it doesn't matter. God wants you to be ready wherever you are.
Yet none of us can be ready if our minds are filled with the filth and garbage of the world.
When I grew up, the rainbow was a reminder of God's promise never to flood the entire Earth again and the word "Gay" meant happy. The Covid virus, which originated in China demonstrates how society changes. Call the Spanish Flu by it's name and it isn't racist. Hong Kong Flu? Not racist. China Virus? Racist. Next we're going to change the rules that discriminate against birds and swine.
Society continually changes but God set an unmoving standard for us. His rules never change. His promises to Abraham apply as much today to believers as they did when God spoke them to Abraham. To help understand this, think of the difference between Truth and Fact. Facts change. If you don't believe that, look at your driver's licence photo from 10 years ago and you'll see that the facts about your appearance have changed. Truth never changes. It is wrong to murder someone today, just as it was when Jesus walked the planet. Truth never changes.
The Law of the Spirit of Life comes with a guarantee. Joel 2:32 says that if we call on the name of Jehova we will be delivered. Do you need to be delivered from something? Has Covid invaded your home? Have you lost your income? Are your kids struggling with drugs or sexual identiy? Call on Jehova and He will answer. It says so in Joel 2:32.
Did you know that God does not punish people EVER? We bring bad things to ourselves through sin. Sin opens the door to evil results. Perhaps you've lost a loved one, perhaps you've lost a job or maybe the next call you get might be a bill collector. Even supposedly good people are subject to the Law of Sin and Death.
When we experience bad things, we are to examine ourselves and then ask God for help. We might not be aware of where we missed the mark and opened the door to the enemy.
Did you know you decide how good your life is, and whether you live a life full of joy, peace and success or a life filled with suffering, poverty and stress? This week, we talk about the usefulness of the Tool called Faith to change your circumstances.
In this episode I speak about faith as the tool for bringing the unseen into our physical environment. This principle applies to every area of life where we need something to either happen or to be received from God.
Jesus promised us Agency Authority. We are ambassadors of God here on Earth. Then he taugh us how to use our authority to heal the sick, bring prosperity to the poor, overcome stress and live a life of joy and peace.
The Word of God is alive in that as we study it, it provides insights and stimulates thoughts that actually change the habits and beliefs we currently hold. What changes do you wish to make?
In this episode we talk about free will and what Jesus said about it.
Christians know we are in a battle between God and Satan, but many don't know that we personally are engaged, or how the battle is fought. Satan's only weapon is persuasion, and persuasion happens in the mind.
In this episode, we take a brief look at how to protect our minds from evil.
