This week’s intercessory prayer is going to be based around Genesis 17. In this portion of scripture, we see Sarah and the struggle while not conceiving ( both naturally and spiritually) the great thing God was about to do in her life. She meddled in her miracle: if we are honest, we are all guilty of the same. May this week’s prayer, comfort you, and restore you and right standing with God. Sarah is not alone in warning something that God wanted her to have, and try to use outside means to do it. In fact, it was all together very human of her. Yet, God does not do what is human… He does what is divine according to His will. In Luke 15:1-7 we see the parable of The Lost Sheep. And so often we want to assume that there are other people who are lost… Not us. Yet, on this journey toward sanctification, in this process of being a spiritual being having a human experience, we see just how needed and necessary it is for the shepherd to know where we are… And where we are, or how far we are from the Shepherd.
