Perhaps the true monster.... is filmmakers. This week, we explore the latest opuses (opii? opusses?) in wifeguy cinema & right-wing flopaganda with a unique double feature-- Paul WS Anderson's Monster Hunter and Kyle Rankin's Run Hide Fight (as presented by Ben Shapiro outlet The Daily Wire). First off, we get into nitty gritty of video game adaptations, the international blockbuster market, irresponsible filmmaking (in the death-on-sets sense), and Milla Jovovich trying her best. After, it's time to tackle the concept of a "school shooter exploitation film", the ongoing futility of culture war cinema, denial of the self fantasy, irresponsible filmmaking (in the sexual harassment AND propaganda sense), and Radha Mitchell not even really trying it.

These days, visiting the ol' virtual cinematheque can be a real mixed bag. Maybe you get a kinda shitty SEO-aggregated movie about animatronics. Maybe you get a pretty good exploration of religion, desire, and mental illness. Life is one big slot machine, and you're the putz pulling the lever. Thankfully, we're here to help, by letting you know all about WILLY'S WONDERLAND and SAINT MAUD.

Almost there, folks. We're almost to 2021. Not that, y'know, flipping the calendar is going to make any major difference to our material conditions in this turd of a year, but it's the thought that counts, right? Anyway, as a special holiday treat, we yapped for nearly two hours about shit we liked (and hated!) in 2020. Important to note: very few of these movies even came out in 2020, but really, who's counting?
