This episode is very personal. I went back and forth on whether or not I was going to share it with the world...but ultimately came to a place where I was at peace with sharing it. This one is dedicated to my brother, Byran. The world is all over the place right now...and I just needed a moment of silence to catch my breath...and in doing so...all I could think about was my brother. Very simply...I miss you so goddamn much, Byran.

For the 5th episode of the Film Deviant Podcast...I am so grateful to spend some time with the one and only Kate Hansen of The Marcatos. I met Kate many years ago here in Chicago and found her to be among the most talented individuals that I know. When I first met her...I knew her to be an amazing artist whose paintings were so great, I ended up owning a custom Demons one that she made for me. It wasn't until some time later that I discovered how sick she is as a musician. In this episode, we discuss her beautiful music...as well as her love for the horror genre...and She-Ra(!). Later that same year...a film was released that involved a group of punk rock delinquents snorting coke from a Coca Cola can while listening to Billy Idol in a stolen car. Just one of the many charms that I discovered back when I was around 12 years old as I hit play on the VCR.
