We’re taking a short break from Marilyn to bring you a very special episode! Oppenheimer is out and we want to shamelessly capitalize on the hype! 1947 - 2 years after the actual bombs dropped - 76 years before Christopher Nolan would nuke the world with “Oppenheimer” - a film called “The Beginning or the End” was unleashed upon the world. A collaboration between MGM and the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project, along with the guidance of the men who actually worked on the Manhattan Project including Oppenheimer himself, this film is presented in a docudrama style and unfolds the story of the development and deployment of the atomic bomb! So put on your special goggles, hold a bag of uncooked popcorn in the air, and prepare to become death - the destroyer of worlds! On this very special intermission episode of FILM HISTORY: THE HISTORY OF FILM!
