Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train is a very long title that I can't even pronounce! So don't worry about it! The next part of Tanjiro and Nezuko's journey is finally here and as the big fan I am - I had really high expectations! Did it meet those expectations? Does it work as a standalone film? How does it compare to season one? I'll be discussing these questions and more in this spoiler free review. Haven't seen the anime? Don't worry, I break down the appeal of Demon Slayer's story and popularity in the second half.

When I was 13 I watched Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull and it changed my life forever by sparking my passion for cinema. Robert De Niro's powerful tormented performance as Jake LaMotta, Scorsese's beautiful direction, and LaMotta's unbelievable story of violence and insecurity taught me a lot about movies. Listen in for the full story and an analysis of the film declared as the greatest of the 1980s.

Legendary Swedish director Ingmar Bergman's masterpiece The Seventh Seal explores existentialism through the perspective of a 1400's Knight returning home from the crusade. On his way home he meets Death and challenges him to a game of chess because he 'once saw it in a picture.' Our Knight is referring to the iconic medieval Swedish painting Death Playing Chess, which inspired this film. And this film has inspired countless more stories about faith, death, and existence.

Shaka King's Judas and the Black Messiah tells the tragic true life story of the FBI's attempt to assassinate human rights activist Fred Hampton. Featuring an incredibly moving performance from Daniel Kaluuya as well as performances from Lakeith Stanfield and Dominique Fishback. I was very impressed with the level of craftmanship here and truthfully moved by this film's perspective. I highly recommend going to see it in theaters, or stream on HBO (for a limited time).
