Well folks it's all uphill from here because we have finally covered the worst movie we will ever cover. That's right, it's the very misbegotten and dull 1492: CONQUEST OF PARADISE (1992). Brent tries desperately to get James to say one nice thing about this cursed movie.
Lil Movies include possibly the greatest western ever made and a fun new horror movie about a killer doll.

On this episode James and Brent make the rain black as we travel from 80's NY to 80's Tokyo with two 80's actors playing 80's cops. It's the very 80's cop thriller BLACK RAIN (1989). We discuss Michael Douglas' star power, 80's aesthetic and the possibility that this might be Brent's favorite movie of all time.
Lil Movies include a movie in which evil finally(?) dies tonight and a gentle drama starring Black Rain's Ken Takakura in one of his final performances.

James and Brent uncover a forgotten film that is so anonymous it's not even included in the book on Ridley Scott. It's the crime drama SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME (1987). We get into why this movie doesn't exist, how incredible Lorraine Bracco is and James won't shut up about Fatal Attraction.
Lil Movies include one of the worst films ever made by a major director and the biggest film of all time.

We're back! After a very long hiatus (sorry from James) we return and pick up right where we left off with Ridley Scott and his totemic Sci-fi noir BLADE RUNNER (1982). James and Brent try to understand why this breathtakingly gorgeous movie is considered to be one of the greatest science fiction films of all time. We rack our brains, but ultimately end up on the side of "it's fine". We'll be back to a semi regular schedule from now on. Thanks so much for your patience!
Lil Movies include a psychological horror film from the Japanese New Wave and a new surreal thriller.

In space no one can hear you podcast. Oh boy folks! It's a big one! This episode is all about Ridley Scott's Sci-Fi masterpiece ALIEN (1979). It's a lore filled discussion all about Alien life-cycles, acid blood and how much Harry Dean Stanton smokes cigarettes. We dive into the differences between the theatrical and directors cut, the mind-blowing set design and James begs nerds to calm down.
Lil Movies include two brand new streaming releases. One is a dull time travel dud, the other a slick paranoia thriller.

It's the start of season 4! We begin our season on Ridley Scott with his debut, THE DUELLISTS (1977). We touch base on all kinds of things including Scott's career before this film, acting trends throughout the decades and Harvey Keitel's immense swag game. We briefly discuss the plot, but mostly we get excited about how good the duels are and we just focus on that.
Lil Movies include a wildly off-the-mark biopic and a brand new horror entry.
