I've always been one to randomly get creative ideas, so I'll wake up in the middle of the night and jump on a script idea. Or, be driving and have to stop on the side of the road to write an idea for a film down. Because of this, I have over 15 short film scripts that I'm working on getting filmmed upon leaving my home. Through the Window was one of these ideas, I was doing a spanish assignment when all of a sudden the idea of the script came to mind and I put the assignment aside and got to writing the feature script. I'm honored to be an honorable mention at this film festival, and honored to be given the opportunity to be featured!”

“Growing up only with my single mother I didn't live a luxurious life. We couldn't afford to travel, we didn't have a big apartment. But as a child I passionately created stories while playing with Barbie dolls at home and with my friends outside. I started applying for filmschools when I was 18, but failed until I was accepted at age 21. Last year, I graduated with my 47' medium feature 'Auster' and have since then developed the way I want to make films in future. I feel like I am in between commercial films and arthouse movies and would like to find a way to combine the two.”

“My name is Ciaran (pronounced Key-r-on) Mahony (Mah-hon-ee). I am a 22 year old filmmaker from Dublin, Ireland. I completed my Film Production college course in May of this year. My final year film was 'Between the Lines' which was graciously accepted into the SWIFF 2022.

My preference in filmmaking lies primarily in scriptwriting. I am an avid writer of feature scripts and shorts. The genres I usually write are coming of age screenplays but also crime mysteries. I enjoy making films that are experimental in terms of structure, plot and the visual experience. This comes from my poetic influences as I am also a writer of poetry.”

“I technically began filmmaking in 2017 when I submitted a Lego stop-motion animation about the WW1 Battle of Passchendaele where it placed 3rd in states for the Reflections contest for the middle school level. Two years later in 2019, my Eagle Scout project was approved which is The Quiet Crisis where it took another two years to finish just before my 18th birthday. I began working with Steeltown Entertainment Project in 2020 as an Intern and was promoted to a paid position in January 2021 which later merged with WQED in the fall of 2021. I stopped working with Steeltown/WQED in July of 2022 to wrap up a narrative film which is also named The Quiet Crisis and currently, I'm writing a script for a new movie in the works.”
