Dissecting the opening scene of movie 'Forrest Gump', to study how the beginning is imparting the theme of the entire movie. Forrest Gump represents the (forgotten) great 'American Dream'. But also at the same time he is a reflection of the ignorance of most of the Americans.

Also what to expect from the upcoming Indian version of Forrest Gump, 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.

To start writing a screenplay as easily as possible, the first step you should take is to start with an interesting idea.

What exactly is an idea? How can you form interesting ideas in your head? What are the common mistakes? What should you do to keep your idea intact?

I will be doing my best to walk you through what I have learned about screenwriting and filmmaking. But as we go forward, my examples will be mostly based on Malayalam movies. Through this channel, I will let you know what I have learned about screenwriting and filmmaking, citing Malayalam Movie examples. That’s the catch. Indian movies are not all about Bollywood. To be frank the movies made in Kerala are less glamorous, but way ahead of Bollywood. 

This channel won’t be concentrating only on the obscure facts of any sort. I will be posting an introduction episode soon, to mention what all are the categories and topics that I will be covering.
