This week we take a look at the action high school reunion rom-com Grosse Pointe Blank for our deep dive, and in our main reviews Andy checked out Speak No Evil, The Critic, and Uglies. Neat things this week involve Tolkien, and Lee took delight in a night out at Golf Fang. News, chat, and our question of the week as usual round things off.

Andy revisited American Psycho a few weeks ago and immediately decided to bump it up the list for this week's Deep Dive choice. Both of us swung by to check out Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the cinema, and Andy also checked out Rebel Ridge, and Electric Lady Studios. Neat things involve audiobooks and podcasts this week. Throw in some news and film related chat to round off things for good measure.
Question of the Week: What films do you think would adapt well to a TV series format - either as a continuation, or a new take. Or vice versa - any TV shows that you feel could make a hit for the big screen?

We're back after our week off, and are looking at Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City for our deep dive. In the other reviews Andy checked out Blink Twice, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Watchmen Chapter One. In our Neat Things this week Andy shares love for another film podcast called Reel Chums, whilst Lee talks about trains. Seriously, we have it all on this show.

No new episode this week as we were both a little busy with other things that life brings, but it didn't stop Andy from watching films, and gave an opportunity to try out a new idea with a video review clip mini-episode.
So, you may be aware that there's a new adaptation of The Crow out now at cinemas, but is it worth seeing. Well, Andy checked it out to give his verdict on the film, here exclusively for the YouTube channel.

With the films all seeing a re-release on the big screen at present, it is the perfect time for us to explore Sam Raimi's Spider-Man for our Deep Dive. Also being reviewed this week are Borderlands, Trap, and The Last Breath - yes, another shark attack film to add to the pile.

In this special episode, we got chance to have a chat with director Adam Nelson of Apple Park Films, and writer Chris Watt about their work on The Mire, which was recently released for UK audiences on Amazon. We chat about origins of the ideas and themes, the film making, the distribution, and the people who inspire them. Enjoy this insightful and engaging look into the making of a film, and be sure to check out The Mire yourself.

With the sad passing of Shelley Duvall this past week, we take time to deep dive one of her finest star moments in the underrated Robert Altman film Popeye from 1980. In our main reviews it is chills and thrills this week with a look at The Mire from Apple Park Films, Longlegs, and In A Violent Nature.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Which support characters, not the leads, have stood out so much that they really add to the film in a big way?
