Films(trips)

Andrew and Dave return in this episode of the show to take a look at IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, the 1967 mystery drama starring Sidney Poitier and directed by Norman Jewison. Does the film hold up after fifty-one years? How much is the perception of the film shaped by the popular 1988-1995 television adaptation of the film / original source novel? And are Andrew and Dave feeling any better than they were on THE SPLIT episode? Listen in and find out!

Next Episode: Say Andrew's name five times in a mirror, and he'll appear with a sandwich. Say Dave's name five times in a mirror, and all you get is a stern look of disapproval over the choices you've made in life.

The somewhat ill duo of Andrew and Dave journey to 1968 to talk about THE SPLIT, which may or may not be the first film to get an R rating from the MPAA, may or may not have started development as a sequel to POINT BLANK from 1967, and may or may not be better than its reputation.

But hey, it does feature Jim Brown kicking Ernest Borgnine in the stomach, and that ain't bad!

Next Episode: Yes, it was a television show, but that isn't what is being discussed. Well, at least directly.
