Friends in Low Places (FILP) is an Irish midlife podcast hosted by Aaron, Mike, Niall and Sean - four friends who’ve known each other since the early 1990s.
Now in their late 40s, they take a light-hearted but honest look at life after 40 in modern Ireland. From work and careers to parenting, marriage, money, ageing, health, friendship and 80s and 90s nostalgia, FILP explores what midlife really feels like.
Expect real conversations, Irish humour, shared memories from growing up in the 90s, and a slightly cynical take on the “good old days” versus modern life.
This isn’t self-help, and it’s not stand-up comedy. It’s four long-time friends talking about the challenges and realities of midlife in today’s society.
If you’re navigating your 40s, juggling family and work, or just missing simpler times, subscribe and join the conversation.
