    This episode I share a virtual drink with my good friend Carolina (Caroleeeeena). We spoke about the joys and pressures of being a Pole Instructor, delved a little deeper into Carolina’s academic background and learned more about Carolina’s work in Activism.
    Dr. Carolina Are, aka Blogger On Pole, is a blogger, activist, researcher with a PhD in criminology and a pole instructor. She has been teaching in London since 2019 and online, through Buy Me A Coffee events and tutorials, since the start of the pandemic. Carolina performs under the name Hades, and loves headbanging, split dropping and spinning like a tornado while pole dancing to rock and metal. She's behind various petitions, campaigns and academic papers to fight for more equal moderation of nudity and sexuality on social media, having been one of the founders of #EveryBODYVisible in 2019 and having created a recent petition against Instagram's terms of use that was signed by over 100,000 people. Basically, whether it's on the pole, on the blog or in academia, Carolina doesn't chill.

    We thought we'd be sipping tea with our pinky fingers stretched out as far as the eye can see. Instead, me and my favourite Ratchet ass, Twerk Queen Chan sat down to talk about Pole Comps and came to the realisation that there's no need for anybody to cancel us, because we were pretty much born cancelled. As a seasoned comp hoe, Chan discussed what it is about pole comps she enjoys, how competition organisers should diversify their judging panels and she gave us some very useful advice for entering competitions. Oh, we also got into it about Twerk and why it's important to show ALL the respect.

    YOU MADE IT! Welcome to episode 2. It's pretty long, so take your time to enjoy it. This episode I sat down with my best pal Alabama Whirley to discuss all things FAT and FABULOUS. We talked about everything from diet culture to exactly what Fatphobia is. We also discussed how the pole industry could be more inclusive of fat polers, how event organisers could be more approachable and discovered a new love for the desire to throat punch people who come for us (especially while we're eating).
