The risk-averse mood moderated in Europe overnight, following yesterday’s acknowledgement by China of a trade war truce with the US, and perhaps helped by the US markets’ holiday closure. The Eurostoxx 50 fell “only” 1.2% (following the S&P500’s 3.2% fall), and the AUD and NZD are slightly lower.
