As well as a few non-traditional choices, such as, Roth IRA's, 401(k) loans, and home equity options. Whatever you decide, it is important to start soon if you hope to provide significant financial assistance towards your child's college funds.

What do these even mean? They are the tax codes that allow you to invest in a plan offered by your employer that gives you a tax break on money that you both set aside for retirement. These plans are an easy way to save for the future because contributions are automatically withdrawn from your paycheck and invested in funds of your choosing.
