We end of Season 1 of StartupStories on a High Note.
In South-Africa, we suffer under significant youth unemployment which can largely be attributed to the lack of successful tertiary education. The Youth Unemployment figure is over 50% of which only 2% are degree holders. Further, in South-Africa, only about 20% of students starting first year finish their degree's (global average >60%) which adds to our struggle of uncovering that incredible potential of our youth. Schalk and Sicelo, co-founders of Xhuma Tech, are driven by a passion to solve this problem and came up with a very clever business to provide easy access to bursary funding and cheap and affordable personality and aptitude tests.
