It's a zany one this week. The boys eat too much Croxton Rooster and discuss the shortcomings of the Miami Heat in their final bouts against the Boston Celtics, the abysmal showings from both teams as they chased and conceded lead after lead, and *that* Jimmy Butler shot in the Eastern Conference Finals. There's a quick post-mortem of the Dallas Mavericks and thier effort against a much-too-experienced Golden State Warriors, and then a preview of what should hopefully be an even and well-contested matchup between Boston and Golden State, and hopefully not the blood bath the previous rounds have provided.

The second round of the 2022 NBA playoffs is over and lessons are to be learned by those who lost and those who progressed. But first: Lukas and Marco address the age-old question of how this year's Eastern Conference finalists would fare in a variety of specific weather conditions, akin to a cold rainy Tuesday night in Stoke. The boys then talk through the eliminated teams and what each can take from their performances into next season (yes, even the wet limp Phoenix Suns). Finally, some massive matchups are ahead of us in the Conference Finals and whatever the result there will be some lovable storylines to follow in the NBA Finals themselves. Can the young upstart Boston Celtics or the singular young upstart Luka Doncic crack through? Will the hardworking Miami Heat prevail? Will Steph Curry and the Warriors run it back one last time?

The boys are a bit delirious in this one and Lukas opens the show regalling his 6-6 3 point shooting in the second half of Monday night basketball. Then, a quick wrap up of their first impressions of the opening week of the WNBA, and a reaction as the truth about Liz Cambage's comments to the Nigerian national basketball team in Las Vegas comes out – and a swift response from the worst parts of the Australian sports media. The playoffs are well and truly in full swing and the matchups that await the victors in the second round are starting to shape up. Marco's beloved New Orleans Pelicans have stunned everyone with two great wins against the league-leading Phoenix Suns – he and Lukas talk through Game 4, or as Lukas calls it "your chip". The Brooklyn Nets have become the first team eliminated from the first-round in a sweep to the Boston Celtics – was Kevin Durant's underwhelming performances to blame or Steve Nash's coaching, or lack thereof? The Raptors are making it interesting against the 76ers and the Utah Jazz continue to be the worst playoff performers in the league.

The play-in has come to pass and so have the first few games of the first-round of the 2022 NBA playoffs, setting the scene and the pace for the rest of the postseason. Lukas fills Marco in on the games he missed while he was at Inner Varnika. Philadelphia has come out the gates screaming, crushing the Raptors in what the boys predicted to be a close and well-fought series. The Warriors have similarly strangled Denver, driven by two fire-cracking performances from Jordan Poole and frustrating Nikola Jokic. The Boston-Brooklyn series is already panning out to be more dramatic than predicted. And the Pelicans are capping off an exciting second half of the season with an expected but earned sweeping at the hands of the league-best Phoenix Suns.

Marco lost his voice and both the boys lost their minds at a music festival over the weekend, so no basketball was watched and no opinions were had. Instead, Lukas is joined by his dad George to reminisce on his time playing social basketball, and Marco and friends of the pod pipe in with their own strolls down memory lane.
