The Midspaces Podcast

Finding balance, accepting help, and defining your own ideal with Suzette Shahmoon

Listen Later

Suzette Shahmoon is a therapist, positive psychologist, mother, and PhD candidate and researcher examining how those affected by chronic neurological illness connect and disconnect from themselves, their partners, and their communities. We explore the importance of being of service to others as well as ourselves.  We discuss how Suzette changed her own story from “perfecting” to doing her best and asking for help when she needs it.  We examine what becomes possible when you connect with others fully and vulnerably, and she puts me in the hot seat as we discuss what makes a good life.
