This conversation with Rachel West, an adventurous high-school English teacher, a gifted storyteller and a fabulous human being, is one of my favourites.  We talked for over an hour (I’ve edited it down to 30) about the moment she realised that she could stop “shoulding” and how a Chinese New Year dragon parade in San Francisco lead them to take the leap to move to a small village 6000 miles away from home.   She shares stories of being in the in-between culturally, gender-wise, linguistically and their journey of self-awareness and realisation.  I think you are going to love Rachel as much as I do.

Today I am speaking to Suzi.  Personally, she is Suzi Villeneuve-Smith; professionally, she is Suzi Russell.  No matter the surname, she is a fabulous human, a nurse, a PhD candidate investigating moral injury in nursing, and a teacher.  More than anything, she is a delightful storyteller and collector who is happy and is finally taking up her space.  She shares how she came to quit her job as a practising nurse when a physical injury caused by a patient led her to quickly recognise the psychological and moral injury she suffered in her job and how she has embraced her current vocation of nursing nurses.  This episode is filled with humour, astrology, manifestations realised, and a big dose of authenticity.
