Sk: Bratislava dýchala vianočnou náladou.
En: Bratislava was breathing with Christmas spirit.

Sk: Na námestí sa trblietali svetlá, od stánkov sa šírila vôňa vareného vína a sviatočné piesne zneli vzduchom.
En: Lights glittered in the square, the aroma of mulled wine wafted from stalls, and holiday songs filled the air.

Sk: Jozef sa pomaly prechádzal s Michaelou v ruke.
En: Jozef slowly strolled with Michaela holding his hand.

Sk: Sneh pod ich nohami chrumal, zatiaľ čo si užívali vianočné trhy.
En: The snow crunched under their feet as they enjoyed the Christmas market.

Sk: "Pozri, ocko!
En: "Look, daddy!"

Sk: " zvolala Michaela.
En: Michaela exclaimed.

Sk: "Tam je hot-dog, čo sme mali s maminou minule Vianoce.
En: "There’s the hot dog we had with mommy last Christmas."

Sk: " Jozef sa usmial, ale jeho srdce bolo ťažké.
En: Jozef smiled, but his heart was heavy.

Sk: Spomienky na Vieru, jeho milovanú manželku, ktorá pred niekoľkými mesiacmi zomrela, ho neprestajne prenasledovali.
En: Memories of Viera, his beloved wife who had passed away several months ago, continuously haunted him.

Sk: "Ale dnes si ho dáme spolu, čo povieš?
En: "But today, we'll have it together, what do you say?"

Sk: " odpovedal Jozef snažiac sa ukryť smútok.
En: replied Jozef, trying to hide his sadness.

Sk: Prechádzali medzi stánkami, zastavovali sa, ochutnávali pečivo, ktoré Viera milovala, a tešili sa z drobností, ktoré Michaela objavila.
En: They walked between stalls, stopping to taste pastries that Viera loved, and delighted in the little things Michaela discovered.

Sk: Jozef vedel, ako veľmi Viera milovala toto miesto a chcel, aby Michaela mala tradície, ktoré spájajú celú rodinu.
En: Jozef knew how much Viera loved this place and wanted Michaela to have traditions that unite the whole family.

Sk: "Mamička vždy hovorila, že na Vianoce je v Bratislave kúzlo.
En: "Mom always said there's magic in Bratislava at Christmas."

Sk: " Michaela sa usmiala a snažila sa chytiť poletujúce vločky, ktoré padali z neba.
En: Michaela smiled, trying to catch the swirling snowflakes falling from the sky.

Sk: "Ona mala pravdu," odpovedal Jozef so slzou v oku.
En: "She was right," replied Jozef with a tear in his eye.

Sk: Kým sa chystali k veľkému vianočnému stromu, Michaela začala prehľadávať vrecká svojho starého zimného kabátu.
En: As they headed towards the large Christmas tree, Michaela began rummaging through the pockets of her old winter coat.

Sk: Našla malý kúsok papiera.
En: She found a small piece of paper.

Sk: "Ocko, pozri sa na to!
En: "Daddy, look at this!"

Sk: " kričala vzrušene.
En: she cried excitedly.

Sk: Jozef si vzal papier a keď ho prečítal, zrazu mu začalo byť teplo na duši.
En: Jozef took the paper and when he read it, warmth suddenly filled his soul.

Sk: Vo Vieriinom písmene stálo: "Vždy hľadaj kúzlo, moje malé.
En: In Viera's handwriting, it said: "Always look for the magic, my little one."

Sk: "Jozef si k sebe pritisol Michaelu.
En: Jozef hugged Michaela close.

Sk: "Tvoja maminka bola výnimočná žena, vždy vedela, ako nás potešiť.
En: "Your mommy was a remarkable woman, she always knew how to make us happy."

Sk: "Strom svietil do diaľky a zrazu to Jozef pocítil.
En: The tree glowed in the distance and suddenly Jozef felt it.

Sk: Vierin duch bol s nimi.
En: Viera's spirit was with them.

Sk: Cítil jej teplo a lásku.
En: He felt her warmth and love.

Sk: Michaela mu zvierala ruku a v očiach mala lesk odrazov svetiel.
En: Michaela squeezed his hand, her eyes reflecting the twinkling lights.

Sk: Jozef sa hlboko nadýchol a vedel, že aj keď Viera nie je fyzicky prítomná, nikdy neprestane byť súčasťou ich Vianoc.
