Story Transcript:

Ga: Síos ag na himealláin mhóra, áit a mbuailtear an talamh glas leis an Atlantach, shiúil Aoife agus Conor.
En: Down at the great cliffs, where the green land meets the Atlantic, Aoife and Conor walked.

Ga: Bhí an samhradh i lán bhláth agus bhí an ghaoth lán le boladh na farraige agus an talaimh.
En: Summer was in full bloom and the wind was filled with the smell of the sea and the earth.

Ga: Ba mhaith le Conor imeacht, fás, tús nua a fháil.
En: Conor wanted to leave, grow, and find a new beginning.

Ga: Cheap seisean nach raibh de rogha acu ach dul.
En: He thought they had no choice but to go.

Ga: Bhí an chinnteacht sin ag Conor.
En: Conor had that certainty.

Ga: Ach bhí croí Aoife greamaithe go láidir le talamh a sinsir.
En: But Aoife's heart was strongly attached to her ancestral land.

Ga: Bhí siad ag siúl na nAillte faoi sholas an anama.
En: They were walking the Cliffs under the light of the soul.

Ga: Chuardaigh Aoife a hintinn, ag machnamh ar an bhféiniúlacht, ag lorg an bhrí.
En: Aoife searched her mind, reflecting on identity, seeking meaning.

Ga: "An bhfágfá rud ar bith os do chionn?
En: "Would you leave anything behind?"

Ga: " a d'fhiafraigh Aoife.
En: Aoife asked.

Ga: "Is deacair smaoineamh ar sin.
En: "It's hard to think about that.

Ga: Is deis mhór í," adúirt Conor go socair, ach bhí a chroí ag féachaint doíscher ar Aoife.
En: It's a big opportunity," Conor said calmly, but his heart was looking intently at Aoife.

Ga: Ag imeall na n-aillte, chuir aoibhneas an nádúir go mór le nádúr a smaointe.
En: At the edge of the cliffs, the beauty of nature greatly influenced their thoughts.

Ga: "Is féidir liom do chuid imní a thuiscint.
En: "I can understand your concerns.

Ga: Ach ní mór dúinn a bheith cróga," lean Conor ar aghaidh go faitíosach.
En: But we must be brave," Conor continued cautiously.

Ga: Bhí na faoileáin ag dul timpeall os a gcionn, ag rá nósanna an fharraige, ag meabhrú ar shaoirse.
En: The seagulls were circling above them, echoing the ways of the sea, reminding them of freedom.

Ga: d'fhéach Aoife orthu ar feadh tamaill.
En: Aoife watched them for a while.

Ga: "Féach cé chomh saorbhaile atá siad, Conor.
En: "Look how at home they are in their freedom, Conor.

Ga: B'fhéidir gur féidir linn.
En: Maybe we can.

Ga: B'fhéidir gur féidir linn an t-áthas a aimsiú sna heitiltí nua.
En: Maybe we can find joy in new flights."

Ga: "Feiceann Conor na deora go mór i súile Aoife.
En: Conor saw the tears welling in Aoife's eyes.

Ga: "Caithfimid an baile a thabhairt linn.
En: "We must bring home with us.

Ga: Agus b'fhéidir go dtiocfaimid ar ais go minic," mhol sé dóibh agus é ag brú lámh.
En: And maybe we will come back often," he suggested to them as he clasped a hand.

Ga: Bhí an t-am aige cinneadh a dhéanamh.
En: The time had come to make a decision.

Ga: Bhí na dúshláin mór, ach d'fhéadfaí na féidearthachtaí a vacsaíocht le chéile.
En: The challenges were substantial, but the possibilities could be embraced together.

Ga: Ar imeall an domhain, ní raibh an t-ionannas inmharthánach le talamh amháin.
En: On the edge of the world, identity wasn't viable with just one land.

Ga: Mar a d'imigh an t-ocras óna gcreasa gaoise, d'admhaigh Aoife, "Beidh m'fhréamhacha i gcónaí anseo, ach tá spás ann le fás ar fud an domhain.
En: As the emptiness left their belt of wisdom, Aoife acknowledged, "My roots will always be here, but there is space to grow all over the world."

Ga: " Agus le sin, bhí gáire beag ionúin lena n-aghaidh.
En: And with that, a gentle smile graced their faces.

Ga: Chinn siad ar an eolas: bogfaidh siad, ach le gealltanas a choimeád cúram ar a dtaisí.
En: They reached a decision: they would move, but with a promise to care for their heritage.

Ga: An baile ina gcroíthe.
En: Home in their hearts.

Ga: Trí shúile na haille, aimsíonn siad eagna nua.
En: Through the eyes of the cliff, they find new wisdom.

Ga: Tá an nasc níos mó ná áit éinne amháin.
En: The connection is more than any one place.

Ga: Beidh an Polaithrí Chosúil leo.
En: The Polaithrí will be like them.
