Do we even need to go to church to be a Christian? Why do we even have church at all? With today's technological advances and the ability to attend church online and not even have to bother getting out of bed if we don't want to, it really begs the question does church even matter?

In this episode, we explore this question by taking a look at what Church should be and the purpose it serves in our transformation in Jesus Christ.

Does the celebration of holidays carry any transformative meaning as we journey in our walk with Christ to become more like Him? How can we find the deeper meaning and connect with it so it is not just some mental abstraction or exercise that doesn’t land anywhere in our lives?

On today’s episode we have a conversation with a good friend of mine, Luke Harris who grew up in a non-religious home and became a christian later in life. Luke shares with us what it was like to celebrate holidays like Christmas and Easter from both perspectives while we discuss the transformative importance of Christian holidays in becoming more like Jesus.

In this episode, we explore the question, "Am I really saved?" by considering the various aspects of salvation that we see in holy scripture.

As a little kid, I can remember saying the "sinner's prayer" accepting Christ into my heart and believing that I was saved. I also can remember the doubt that came throughout the years as my life remained largely untransformed. I was still unloving, unkind, and stuck in habitual sins that throughout my teenage years seemed only to get worse. I really questioned, "Am I really saved?"

We tackle this question by considering what Christ accomplished on the cross for all of humanity and what it means for us to personally participation in salvation every single day.

On today's show we are going to explore the divine mystery of baptism so that we can better understand this event in the life of Christ and how it communicates to us what we should do in our pursuit of following him and becoming His disciples.

First, we are going to take a look at the pre-christian origins of baptism, to better understand why John was baptizing in the first place. Then, we are going to look at what Christ accomplished through baptism and finally what does this mean for us as we endeavor to follow Him and find God in every aspect of our lives.
