How to be a Dangerous Woman

Finding Gratitude In Tough Times

Listen Later

It’s the height of the holiday season, and so many of us have so much going on. Gratitude can be one of those things that gets pushed off to the side and ignored. I’m going to share why you should be practicing gratitude and some tangible ways to do so. Practicing gratitude can make us feel more grounded, lead to a more stable life, and bring us peace.

What if you spent 365 days focused on solely making your dream a reality? This is what we’re going to do in The Dangerous Woman Mastermind The Year of You

You and nine other women will spend an entire year focusing on your biggest goals, along with deep level coaching, support, and massive amounts of action and accountability. We start in January and registration to join the group is open now.

Episode Highlights:

  • [02:47] We're worrying about so many things right now that gratitude isn't even at the top of our list.
  • [03:20] Having a regular practice of gratitude leads to significantly better health over the span of your life.
  • [03:41] Gratitude can also help you improve your relationships. Think about who you love the most and the relationship you have with those people. Don't you want to share time with people you have mutual gratitude with?
  • [04:02] Gratitude strengthens bonds and connections. It drives feelings of positivity, love, and respect. It increases our desire to want to foster and develop those relationships.
  • [04:15] Healthy relationships make your life better and practicing gratitude will do the same.
  • [04:27] Set your intention and think about it on purpose. Decide that you will be a woman who practices thankfulness. Show gratitude to those around you and make it part of who you are.
  • [05:34] Decide now that you are going to be someone who is thankful and grateful for the people who helped you.
  • [05:50] Finding your why and uncovering meaning also leads to more gratitude.
  • [07:20] You can also tap into gratitude by helping someone else. When we spend too much time focusing on ourselves, we become stuck.
  • [08:28] Decide to practice gratitude. Take a moment each morning to visualize what you're grateful for. In the evening, write down three or four things that you are grateful for. This method will constantly keep gratitude in your vision.
