Sl: Matejev korak je odzvanjal po marmornati tleh Narodnega muzeja Slovenije.
En: Matej's steps echoed on the marble floor of the National Museum of Slovenia.

Sl: Svetloba je risala vzorce barv na stenah.
En: Light painted patterns of color on the walls.

Sl: Zrak je vonjal po zgodovini.
En: The air smelled of history.

Sl: V njegovih rokah je bila karta muzeja, kjer je upal najti nekaj posebnega.
En: In his hands was a map of the museum, where he hoped to find something special.

Sl: Njegov cilj?
En: His goal?

Sl: Navdušiti sošolce s svojim znanjem.
En: To impress his classmates with his knowledge.

Sl: Točno pred njim sta hitela Nika in Tanja.
En: Right in front of him, Nika and Tanja were hurrying along.

Sl: Nika se je glasno smejala in pritegnila pozornost vseh okoli nje, medtem ko je Tanja mirno opazovala razstavljene artefakte.
En: Nika laughed loudly and attracted the attention of everyone around her, while Tanja calmly observed the displayed artifacts.

Sl: Sonce je sijalo skozi velika okna dvorane in osvetljevalo artefakte.
En: The sun shone through the large windows of the hall, illuminating the artifacts.

Sl: Ilirske province so stale tam v središču, mogočne in zgodovinske.
En: The Illyrian Provinces stood there in the center, mighty and historical.

Sl: Matej je vedel, da je to njegova priložnost.
En: Matej knew this was his opportunity.

Sl: Globoko je vdihnil.
En: He took a deep breath.

Sl: "Znanstveniki pravijo," je začel, njegov glas nekoliko tresoč, "da so Ilirske province bile del francoskega imperija.
En: "Scientists say," he began, his voice slightly trembling, "that the Illyrian Provinces were part of the French Empire."

Sl: " Sošolci, ki so bežno gledali okoli, so se zdaj obrnili k njemu.
En: The classmates, who had been idly looking around, now turned to him.

Sl: Nika je zavzdihnila.
En: Nika sighed.

Sl: " Ob njegovih besedah je vladala tišina.
En: Silence reigned after his words.

Sl: Matej je čutil, kako mu srce hitreje bije.
En: Matej felt his heart beat faster.

Sl: Tanja mu je podarila prisrčen nasmeh, poln spodbude.
En: Tanja gave him a warm smile, full of encouragement.

Sl: Nika je rahlo privzdignila obrv, a je bila vidno zainteresirana.
En: Nika raised her eyebrow slightly, but was visibly interested.

Sl: "Nisem vedela tega," je priznala Nika.
En: "I didn't know that," Nika admitted.

Sl: "To je res kul, Matej.
En: "That's really cool, Matej."

Sl: "Matej se je nasmehnil, prvič zares samozavestno.
En: Matej smiled, for the first time truly confident.

Sl: Preostanek dneva so skupaj raziskovali muzej ter delili zgodbe in informacije.
En: For the rest of the day, they explored the museum together and shared stories and information.

Sl: Matej je začel opažati, da mu sošolci prisluhnejo, ko govori.
En: Matej started to notice that his classmates listened to him when he spoke.

Sl: Naučil se je, da je njegovo znanje enako pomembno kot glasne besede Nika.
En: He learned that his knowledge was as important as Nika's loud words.

Sl: Na koncu dneva so se vračali proti avtobusu, kjer so iskali nove dogodivščine, a tokrat v novi družbi - prijateljev, ki so ga spoštovali.
En: At the end of the day, they headed back to the bus, seeking new adventures, but this time in a new company - friends who respected him.

Sl: Doma je Matej razmišljal o dnevu, ki mu je omogočil, da spregovori.
En: At home, Matej reflected on the day that allowed him to speak out.

Sl: Zdaj je vedel, da ima glas, ki ga je vredno slišati, in da prijatelji niso doseženi le z glasnostjo, ampak s srčnostjo.
En: Now he knew that he had a voice worth hearing, and that friends are not gained only through loudness but with sincerity.
