In this episode of Finding His Voice Absalom chases his father David down to kill him and take over the kingdom. But in the chase, Absalom's mount runs off and Absalom is left hanging in an Oak Tree. So David regains control of his kingdom, but mourns for the loss of his son.

Jesus informs the disciples that they should continually pray and not be caught in drunkenness, for the time of the return of the Son of Man could catch them unaware.

In this episode of Finding His Voice King David and his followers must flee from David's own son, Absolom, who has set himself up to overthrow the rule of King David.

Jesus teaches that the people of this world marry, and are given into marriage. But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain the world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are they given in marriage. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

In this episode of Finding His Voice David's son Amnon felt lust for his own half sister Tamar and forced her to lay with him. Their other brother Absalom discovered this travesty and plotted to have Amnon Killed. He was then banished to Geshur for three years for killing his brother.

Jesus reminds the Pharisees that the stone which the builders rejected became the capstone and it is written that whosoever shall fall upon the stone will be broken, but him who the stone falls upon shall be ground to powder.

In this episode of Finding His Voice David sees Bathsheba bathing herself and is smitten with er. He sends her husband, Uriah, to war that he may be killed so that David may take Bathsheba to be his own wife.

Jesus sends his disciples into the city to find a colt that can carry him into Jerusalem. As he rides into the city, his followers spread their garments on the ground in front of the colt to honor the Lord.

In this episode of Finding His Voice, David wanted to show kindness to the house of Saul, after having defeated him, and he learns that Jonathon, David's old friend, had a son who was lame. David took Jonathon's son in as if he were his own son, and cared for him the rest of his days.

Jesus teaches the parable of the master who was to go and acquire a kingdom and before he left he gave a gold piece to each of his three servants. After receiving the kingdom he returned to ask his servants what they had done with the gold. The first servant said, "I have turned the piece of gold into ten pieces." The master said, "Then you shall be ruler over ten cities." The second servant had grown his gold to five pieces and was made ruler over five cities. The last servant had hidden the coin away and returned it upon the master's return. The master ordered that the one piece of gold be taken from the lazy and slothful servant and be given to him who had ten. "For to everyone who hath, so shall it be given, and for he who hath little, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him."

In this episode of Finding His Voice David brings the Ark of the Covenant back to Israel. He is rebuked by his first wife for leading the way before the Ark and Dancing and Playing Music as he went. David told her, I dance before the Lord and if that is disgraceful, then I shall do that and much more! The Lord was pleased with David and promises to make his seed a house that shall endure forever.

Jesus foretells of His own death and says that the Son of Man will be given over to the Gentiles to be mocked, scourged and spat upon. The disciples did not understand who Jesus was referring to or why He would say such things. But Jesus told them the Gentiles will put Him to death and on the third day He shall rise again.

In this episode of Finding His Voice David is annointed as King over all of Israel and he must rapidly take control of Saul's failing leadership.

Jesus teaches that we must approach the Kingdom of Heaven as a child. "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein."

In this episode of Finding His Voice Saul is hunted down and wounded by the Philistines. Rather then allow an uncircumcised Philistine kill him, Saul chose to fall on his own sword. His sons and armor bearer also died with him that day.

Jesus passes through Galilee and Samaria and there are ten lepers who beg to be cleansed. Jesus tells them to go and show themselves unto the priests and on their way, they are cleansed! One of them falls to he knees in gratitude and returns to Jesus to praise the Lord. When the leper returned to give thanks, Jesus said here is one who has returned to praise God for His works, but where are the other nine? And this one man is a Samaritan. Jesus tells the man to go, his faith has made him whole.

In this episode of Finding His Voice David joins the Philistines in the battle against Saul and Saul is very afraid. So he goes to a woman who is able to call up the dead and she divines the spirit of Samuel for him. Samuel asks Saul why he has disturbed his rest and Saul said, David fights against me and the Lord is not speaking with me. Samuel reminds Saul that he had warned him that the Lord was no longer with him and that David would be King of Israel.

Jesus tells the story of The Rich Man and Lazarus the Beggar. In this story, Lazarus has died and gone to Paradise to live in comfort alongside Abraham. The rich man dies and goes to Hell. When the rich man sees Abraham, he begs Abraham to send Lazarus to his brothers who still live, so they might know the torment that he was in. Abraham said, your brothers have Moses and the prophets to guide them, they don't need Lazarus. The rich man said, my brothers will not pay attention to Moses and the prophets. Abraham told him, of they will not pay heed to Moses and the prophets, then though won't pay attention to Lazarus, even though he is raised from the dead.

In this episode of Finding His Voice, Saul takes rest in a cave where David and his men are hiding. David has occasion to slay Saul, but he refuses and instead removes the hem of Saul's skirt. As Saul leaves the cave, David calls out to him and pleads with him that he had opportunity and motive to kill him and yet let him live. Saul cries and says, "David, you are surely more righteous than I. You shall certainly be King of all Israel."

Jesus tells the parable of a a servant who was accused of wasting his masters goods. The servant went out and settled all of the master's debts, for he had no other skills and was too proud to beg. The master was pleased with his servant and forgave him his trespass. For, the Lord said, he that is faithful in the things that are least will also be faithful in that which is much. And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man's who shall entrust to you that which is your own?
