This week, we’re joined by Sejal Kargal - an Indian-American multidisciplinary artist, creative producer, fusion singer-songwriter, DJ, and founder of UNDEFINED and rosewater, one of the first diaspora-led music festivals of its kind in the U.S.
Based in New York City, Sejal navigates the worlds of tech, arts, culture, and entrepreneurship, creating spaces that feel like home for people who have left pieces of themselves behind in pursuit of something new.
Through UNDEFINED, she has produced events across New York, Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Francisco, building platforms that amplify underrepresented diasporic voices and expand access to cultural and economic opportunity.
A Carnatic-trained vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Sejal blends global sounds and cultural storytelling to create deeply immersive experiences rooted in memory, identity, and connection.
In this conversation, we explore the power of community-building, the challenges and opportunities of living between cultures, and what it takes to create visibility and belonging through music, entrepreneurship, and impact-driven creative work.
