Have you ever picked a word of the year?
Did you for 2020?
Do you remember what it was?
Did it help you in any way?

The first few years I picked out a word for the year, I enjoyed the experience, but the word was forgotten after a month or two and it really didn’t make a change in my year.
The past few years I have been VERY mindful of including God in my choice of the word and it was a completely different experience.

I have a free class you can sign up for walking you through these steps.

Should we just not count it?

It almost feels like it doesn’t exist on whatever weird world I am living in.

But I do have a 2020 calendar with a lot of erased things we had to cancel.

But also a lot of things on my calendar in colored pens we did do!

So even though it feels different, I will keep 2020. It was 12 months that did happen.

November 23, 2020Gratitude, the Most Powerful Healing Tool?
Do you struggle with finding things to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season?

Maybe because things are extra strange this year, it seems impossible to be grateful.

Do you know that gratitude is more powerful than love??

The power of gratitude is immense.

After Devon was home safe from being kidnapped in Mexico, I felt God impress upon me that I should express gratitude for the men who kidnapped Devon.
It was pretty easy to express:
Thank you for not physically hurting him.

Thank you for not being very good at kidnapping. Devon said, “If they had used zip ties instead of bandanas it would have been a lot harder to escape.”

Thank you for leaving him alone to go off to try the ATM card.

Then I felt I should thank them for kidnapping him.

I paused thinking, “That is ridiculous.”
I paused again and pondered. Am I grateful that this experience happened? Could it have happened without the kidnappers?
Imagine if Devon had lied to us, gone to Mexico had a grand adventure and come home with us being none the wiser for it. Then this would have been a very different learning adventure for Devon, not a positive one. More “adventures” would have been taken with possibly much worse outcomes.
So I did express gratitude that this experience happened. I thanked those men for kidnapping him.
I prayed for my “enemies” and I thanked them for it too.

November 16, 2020 Join the Fun Party of The Mexico Miracle Book Launch
Have you ever set a seemingly impossible goal?
Then you told everyone about it....
Then you realized, "Oh crap, now I have to DO it!?"
Join as I celebrate with my family and friends, the accomplishment of a goal I set in January, to write the true story of when my 16-year-old was kidnapped in Mexico and the miracles that brought him home safely.
My goal had a hard deadline of November 11th, 2020. That is the 6 year anniversary of what we like to call the Mexico Miracle.
I had so many people help me achieve the goal, but a lot of it fell on me.
Writing, editing, editing, editing and more editing.
Mind you, I don't really enjoy any of those things...
Luckily I had a great team backing me up and we got it done.
The Mexico Miracle went live on November 11th and it also became a best seller in multiple categories on Amazon the same day!
I recorded the virtual book launch party, so you can enjoy the party too!

November 09, 2020 3 Reasons Why Writing Letters to God is so Powerful
Writing letters to God is a wonderful blend of meditating, praying and journaling.
I am the type of person who likes to do things quickly. It is hard for me to slow myself down. When I pray, I use my prayer cheat sheet and sometimes I just speed through things.
When I journal normally, I just scribble out what happened during my day, rarely pausing to reflect.
I just move fast.
But when I write a letter to God and then pause to receive a response,
I have to slow down!!
This is why it feels like a combo of the 3 – meditating – being still and present, praying – because I am communicating with God, journaling – because I am writing things down (which also helps slow me down)

I wish I could teach the whole world about the importance of neutrality and give them the tools to stay neutral amidst chaos

One of Unity and Love and the other Pride and Isolation

There is so much discord and fighting going on, in so many different ways and for so many different reasons.

I can’t help but think, if people could pause and take time to listen to the other and try to understand where they are coming from and responded from a love and unity platform, how much better things could go.

Some people love to write. It is in their blood, it is a gift, they get great joy from it.
I have none of those things, yet I am an author of 6 books!!!

The process of writing a book is challenging, every step of the way. I am a pretty reluctant writer and when I have to make changes my editor suggests, that is not fun!

However the satisfaction I get from writing overpowers all of that.

In this episode I discuss what inspired me to write each book I have written and how I overcame the challenges of being a reluctant author.
