In 1994, a 12-year-old girl would leave her family home in Carmel, New York and never return. Once police were able to determine that the girl had been a victim of a violent crime, they would quickly arrest two teenage boys in connection to the crime. Despite the lack of any physical evidence, the two boys would be charged with murder and sit for trial.
