In episode 4, we talk to a newbie teacher that found her calling.  She mentions some of her experiences along the way and eventually following her passion.  Our guest Eliana, is a recent graduate from the Teacher Credential program at Sacramento State.  Her background is in psychology and she has tons of experience with students and meeting their educational needs.  This new teacher is eager to start her career and knows it will be a challenge during this global pandemic.  She shares with us what obstacles she predicts to face as she heads back to her alma mater to start as a Special Education teacher.  

We have a conversation about how to properly use a planner and effectively manage your time.  Eliana was a student athlete playing both volleyball and soccer during her time in high school and mentions how her planner skills which date back from her middle school days have propelled her to be a great time manager.  Her time management skills have come in handy especially while completing dual credential program, student teaching, working, enjoying her family and attending her social life.  We will check back with her during the school year so she can share her challenges and successes as a brand new teacher during a distant learning period.
