I had such an inspiring chat with Barb!! She lost her arms in an electrical accident at the age of 2 1/2 years old and has grown to be a woman who has learned to live life independently. She is a mom, an accomplished athlete, and a mentor. It was such a joy having Dan as a guest on the pod! I chat with full-time housing attorney and part-time educator, Dan Kozieja. We cover his journey and inspiration into law, his work helping unhoused folks and his educational videos discussing inclusive and mindful language. He is so insightful. I love talking about the importance of language and how we can all (especially those of us privileged white folks) be cognizant of the words we use and how they effect others.
