in this episode, I reflect on what running has really become for me. Those early mornings when the air’s cool and clean, when my breath is shallow and my ankles are stiff but then, somewhere in that quiet, the rhythm finds me.
Running isn’t my escape. It’s how I return to myself. Out there, the ego fades, the noise drops away, and it’s just me, the dirt, and the wind moving through the trees like breath. I’ve learned that effort isn’t the enemy, and discomfort isn’t punishment, it’s just a sensation.
The lessons are subtle, whispered through stillness, not shouted through chaos. And in that flow state, where time stretches and everything softens, I’m reminded that I don’t have to be anything more than what I already am. So I keep running. Not to prove anything, not to win, but because out there on the trail, under an open sky, everything makes sense. Even if only for a moment.
