Emotional courage is a trait we all develop on our own time at our own pace, to generate the intellectual capital needed to confront adversity. This is certainly true of Sue Bowles. As a childhood rape survivor, twice suicidal, having battled with depression, and in recovery from an eating disorder, “my story of struggle, perseverance, and hope speak to audiences on a wide spectrum.” She’s a survivor turned award-winning author, speaker, and Master Certified Professional Coach. She leads My Step Ahead, an organization committed to breaking the stigma around mental health struggles. She joined me this week to tell me more.
