Sl: Matej je hodil po Ljubljanski osrednji tržnici z razburjenimi očmi.
En: Matej walked through the Ljubljana Central Market with eager eyes.

Sl: Jesensko sonce je sijalo skozi drevje in po stojnicah razsipalo barve.
En: The autumn sun shone through the trees and scattered colors across the stalls.

Sl: Vetra skoraj ni bilo, a hladen povš šal je opominjal, da je zima tik za vogalom.
En: There was almost no wind, but a cold breeze reminded them that winter was just around the corner.

Sl: Matej je bil odločen najti popoln slovenski kulturni artefakt za svoj šolski projekt.
En: Matej was determined to find the perfect Slovenian cultural artifact for his school project.

Sl: Ob njem sta hodila Lenart in Anja.
En: Walking beside him were Lenart and Anja.

Sl: Lenart, kot vedno, ni mogel zadržati svojih šal.
En: Lenart, as always, couldn't resist his jokes.

Sl: "Poglej tisto bučo, Matej!
En: "Look at that pumpkin, Matej!

Sl: Skoraj tako velika, kot je tvoja domišljija!
En: Almost as big as your imagination!"

Sl: " je vzkliknil Lenart, in Anja se je nasmehnila.

En: "It has to be a really special artifact," said Matej with tension in his voice.

Sl: "Mogoče nekaj z zgodovinsko vrednostjo.
En: "Maybe something with historical value."

Sl: "Anja je pokimala.
En: Anja nodded.

Sl: "Vem nekaj o fotografiji tvojega časa," je rekla potiho.
En: "I know something about photography from your time," she said quietly.

Sl: "Tukajšnji trgi so zgodovinski sami po sebi.
En: "These markets are historical in themselves.

Sl: Poglej z očmi fotografa.
En: Look with a photographer’s eyes."

Sl: "Sprehajali so se mimo stojnic, ki so bile polne svežega sadja, zelenjave in domačih izdelkov.
En: They strolled past stalls filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and homemade products.

Sl: Matej se je trudil, da ne bi bil preveč moten, a njegovi prijatelji so imeli svoje zamisli.
En: Matej tried not to get too distracted, but his friends had their own ideas.

Sl: "Diši po klobasah!
En: "It smells like sausages!"

Sl: " se je prebudila Lenartova radovednost, ko je sledil vonju po kranjskih klobasah.

En: After half an hour of searching, Matej became restless.

Sl: "Ne bom našel ničesa dovolj dobrega," je zavzdihnil.
En: "I won't find anything good enough," he sighed.

Sl: A takrat ga je v kotu ene izmed stojnic nekaj pritegnilo.
En: But then something caught his attention in the corner of one of the stalls.

Sl: Majhen, starinski razglednica.
En: A small, antique postcard.

Sl: Na njej je bil fotografiran Zmajski most s klasičnimi avtomobili v ozadju.
En: It featured the Dragon Bridge with classic cars in the background.

Sl: Bil je popolnoma ohranjen.
En: It was perfectly preserved.

Sl: Matej je vedel, da je to to.
En: Matej knew that this was it.

Sl: "To je popolno," je rekel, ko je pogledal na uro.
En: "This is perfect," he said as he glanced at the time.

Sl: "Ampak zamujamo na avtobus!
En: "But we're running late for the bus!"

Sl: "Drveli so skozi tržnico, med tem ko Lenart še mesno pršilo oddal mojo pričakovanje na pult.
En: They dashed through the market, while Lenart reluctantly left his meaty anticipation on the counter.

Sl: "S čudovito Ljubljansko osrednjo tržnico za sabo in popolnim artefaktom v rokah so se vsi trije naučili ceniti trenutke, ki jih življenje ponudi.
