Scripture shows us that God works through offices, functions, and gifts. Some are recognised roles within the local church. Some are ministries Christ gives to equip His people. And some are spiritual gifts given by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for the good of the whole body.

It is important that Christians understand their calling.

Not everyone is called to lead.

Not everyone is called to govern.

But everyone is called to participate.

When believers don’t understand this, the church either becomes passive or confused. People either sit back waiting to be used, or they step into roles God never called them to carry. Both lead to frustration and harm.
