In the penultimate episode of Fingers Crossed, Sierra & Kristee discuss a relevant topic that is on the minds of many mid-twenty somethings: maintaining friendships in different life stages. What do you do when three of your friends are married with babies and you're just re-entering the dating scene? What if you're busy in a 9-5 career and your friends are all working part time with tons of free time? Do you settle down? Buy a house? Work hard for that career promotion? Run away and work on a boat in Australia? Your 20s can make it really hard to relate to your friends sometimes, but the gals of Fingers Crossed are here to help.

In today's episode of Fingers Crossed, Kristee and Sierra discuss the concept of Identity Capital. Originally brought to their attention by Meg Jay in The Defining Decade, Identity Capital is the concept that one's unique talents, experiences, achievements and background create a personal portfolio that makes one a valuable and well-rounded individual inside & outside the workplace.
Your twenties are guided by how heavily you invest in your identity capital—and it is always worth the time to invest in yourself. Join K&S as they share listener stories, article tidbits, and their own personal experiences about building their identity capital and personal resumé.

Due to popular demand, we're back with part II of our burnout episode! Last week was all about how burnout has become "the Millennial condition" and how young people can be susceptible to it. Today, we're diving into some specific about how you can recognize burnout, what it does to your body, and steps you can take to try and help avoid it in your day-to-day life. We are also hearing about Sierra's new job, Kristee's upcoming travel, and announcing our new BIWEEKLY UPLOAD SCHEDULE! So you can expect a new FC episode every two weeks (to mitigate our own burnout).

Have you been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and just plain burnt out? Today on Fingers Crossed, Sierra and Kristee are unpacking the ever growing theme of Millennial burnout. They discuss how societal changes have caused an epidemic of overwork disguised as "hustle" or "productivity" culture—and how it's a dangerous slippery slope. They read excerpts from Anne Helen Petersen's article about Millennial burnout, as well as tons of listener responses about how burnout is affecting their lives. S&K will be releasing a part TWO on this topic the following week, because they have a lot to say, and a lot more articles to share. Stay tuned!
