Host Carrie Young talks to guest Marna Canterbury, MS, RDN, Senior Director of Community Health and Engagement at Minnesota-based HealthPartners, about their Make It Ok campaign. Nearly one in five Americans live with a mental illness. Yet despite its prevalence, some people are still not comfortable talking about mental illness and may delay seeking treatment or support because of stigma. The goal of the campaign is to reduce the stigma and change misperceptions about mental illness because the sooner people get treatment, the greater their chances of recovery.
