Last week during the stream we talked about whether or not WordPress was scared of Webflow. It was a rhetorical question to be sure, but it seemed to spark quite a bit of response from the WordPress community, including a direct response from Matt Mullenweg himself. If you don't know, Matt is the founder of Automattic, which is the force behind WordPress, Jetpack, WooCommerce, Simplenote, Longreads, The Atavist, and many other products. The conversation was even mentioned in a large WordPress newsletter which sparked some internal dialogue between Raymmar Tirado and Joe Krug so we've decided to dedicate another episode to diving deeper into the Open Source vs Closed source debate.
