Welcome back to the Recruitment Round-up with Toby and Nadia of Harrington Starr.
This week, the pair discuss the last of the group's key values: Positivity. Toby takes us back to why this is one of the core values they decided to adopt since Harrington Starr's inception and stresses the importance of building an environment of "radiators, rather than drainers".
Nadia summarises good recruitment as being able to positively look at a challenge – usually in the form of hiring needs – and discovering how best to overcome that. She mentions their infamous 'talent triangle', a term coined to encourage hiring managers to invest, train and build on positive candidates with huge potential in longevity.
This is a cracking episode with lots to unpack about transforming "problems" into "opportunities". Plus, it's the first episode where the pair ask their quick-fire questions to one-another to discuss the week's most exciting and enriching moments within the group.

This weeks episode of The Recruitment Round-Up with Toby and Nadia asks the question, is excellence attainable?
As we continue to explore the core values at Harrington Starr, Toby and Nadia shine a spotlight on excellence, sharing the mindsets and practices that come with a first-class service.
Particularly notable is the focus on value. Excellence is not a monetary or particularly measurable concept. But rather, the focus with excellence should be on: are you bringing a new perspective to the table?; are you authentically invested in your product?; are you driven to be constantly improving and bringing more to the table?; can you surpass yesterday's point of excellence?
Toby and Nadia also celebrate recent moments of excellence at Harrington Starr. The impending launch of the next edition of The Financial Technologist, Nadia's book, Oli, Andy and Ciara reaching career milestones, and a January that surpasses all records in company history- in short, it's been pretty excellent recently and we can't wait for what's next!
