The term "influencer" is a hotly contested identifier in the fintech world these days. Not a day goes by that a new "influencer" list is published for a given corner of the fintech ecosystem and the debate continues to grow on how one determines who should be included. Is it Klout score? Number of Twitter followers? There doesn't seem to be one specific answer. For me, Spiros is a classic example of an "influencer". He has started multiple tech companies dating back to the original dot com days, he's lived and worked on multiple continents, he is a prolific writer, speaker, and commentator on the fintech space, and he is a successful VC.
And, in his words, he focuses on shining the light on others.
