Jesus doesn’t want us to sit at a second-hand table apart from Him; He wants us to feast with Him every single day. When we feast at Jesus’ table, we feast on the bread of life, which always sustains. 

When you feel like you are constantly getting knocked down and discouragement sets in, sometimes you have to be reminded that you are not out for the count, and you need to get back up and keep going.

Pastor Kendrae Washburn challenges us to not let the pressures of the world keep us down, but to grab the hand of the Lord as He pulls us back up, and to give those pressures over to Him. Make the exchange.

Pastor Chris reminds us that the Lord delights in us and we are His delight. He truly wants the best for us. 

When God gives us a promise we ought to trust Him, regardless of how the circumstances may appear. It is within those circumstances that we come to realize that we could not attain that promise on our own.

“If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us” - Numbers 14:8a

Pastor Chris reminds us to go back to the beginning. To recognize that before time was even created, God was there. 

If you were to share the gospel with somebody and only shared the end without the beginning, you would be missing quite a bit. Without the beginning, the end doesn’t make sense. 

Pastor Chris reads from Psalms 73, and brings attention to something that many of us often feel. 

We feel as though the world is against us, and that those who live a lifestyle of the world seemingly get blessed beyond belief. Why?

Why is it that we as Christians are held to a standard and are held accountable, while those of the world are not being held accountable and are living lives of abundance? The day to day for us can feel overwhelming and unfair.

“But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled;

My steps had nearly slipped.” - Psalms 73:2

These feelings are common, but let them be an almost. Don’t let them be something that keeps you sliding.

God is the satisfaction that the world can’t offer. He provides a highway of holiness that the enemy does not have access to. We can be encouraged that God's mercies are new every morning and He will respond powerfully—even miraculously—as we cry out to Him in faith with holy fear.
